The famous director of Studio Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki, shared that his film career is not over yet even though he previously announced his retirement.

Miyazaki announced his retirement from filmmaking again in 2013, shortly after which he made a short film titled Earwig and the Witch with his son, Goro Miyazaki, for the Ghibli Museum.

After repeatedly announcing his retirement and then returning, Hayao Miyazaki made 11 films over the course of 34 years.

Hayao Miyazaki seems to have been cherishing a new project for the past 4 years, and it is still an unfinished journey for this director.

It is known that this is Hayao Miyazaki’s favorite book, revolving around a 15-year-old boy in Tokyo whose father has just passed away.

Hayao Miyazaki hasn’t provided much information about his plans, so it’s unclear how he will adapt the book.
