Djokovic: ‘Australia Open 2023 is the biggest victory’

`Considering my situation, this is the biggest victory of my life,` Djokovic shared after defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final on January 29.

Nole arrived at the 2023 Australian Open with a hamstring injury and a lot of pressure, after being expelled from the country last year for not being vaccinated against Covid-19.

Djokovic (blue) shares joy with his family and coaching staff in the stands of Rod Laver Stadium on January 29.

Djokovic described them as tears of relief, pride and happiness.

Djokovic also said that the championship was like a big relief for him, and was the result of long days of hard work.

While Djokovic admitted that the scrutiny and doubt surrounding his hamstring injury affected him, coach Goran Ivanisevic believes that most players would have given up with the injury that Nole suffered.
