Binh Duong supports 500,000 workers who cannot return home

On August 5, officials of Phu Loi Ward, Thu Dau Mot City went to each boarding house in the area to distribute money and necessities to 400 workers, each worth 500,000 VND.

After piloting in Thu Dau Mot City, the roadmap will be implemented in districts with a small number of workers staying in boarding houses such as Bau Bang, Phu Giao, Dau Tieng, and Bac Tan Uyen.

Previously, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Binh Duong gave 25,000 freelance workers, lottery ticket sellers… 1.5 million VND each.

Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, Chairman of Binh Duong People’s Committee, said that since the outbreak of the epidemic, ensuring social security, especially for freelance workers and workers, has always been of concern to the province.

This August, the province will support food, food and part of the accommodation, electricity and water costs for workers in the area.

Binh Duong on the morning of August 5 recorded 309 more positive cases of nCoV, bringing the total number of infections in this epidemic to 21,865.

Binh Thuan, Ms. Bo Thi Xuan Linh, Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, said that more than 4,360 poor households in the province will receive support of one million VND per person, before August 15.
