The royal team appreciates Ancelotti giving opportunities to many young players in the academy, with Nico Paz and Gonzalo Garcia having debuted for the first team in the first half of the 2023-2024 season.

The extension with Real also ends speculation that Ancelotti will take over as head coach of the Brazil team.

Before Ancelotti renewed his contract with Real, CBF president Ednaldo once said that the 64-year-old coach would lead this team to the 2024 Copa America. But Ednaldo was just dismissed a few days ago for allowing outside factors to interfere with CBF.

Ancelotti’s extension also almost means that coach Xabi Alonso will not be able to return to Real.
